About the Journal
The academic journal "Socialization & Human Development" is an electronic periodical publication established by the non-profit non-governmental organization "Ukrainian Association of Educational and Developmental Psychology," founded in 2015 (UAPED.com).
The journal "Socialization & Human Development" is dedicated to the dissemination of current research in the social sciences and humanities, with a particular focus on the sociocultural determinants of human psychological development across the lifespan. The editorial policy of the journal is concentrated on presenting the latest scholarly research in psychology and related disciplines that correspond to the thematic scope of the publication. Publications are encouraged in the areas of contemporary human development within the contexts of familial, educational, ethnocultural, and professional socialization, as well as socio-political, inter-species, and media socialization. The journal also welcomes the presentation of evidence-based models of psychological, pedagogical, and social support for positive socialization of the individual throughout life. Special attention is given to publishing the results of research conducted by the Scientific School of the Psychology of Socialization and Personality Development, registered at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2021 (https://science.knu.ua/new/?page_id=4461).
Pursuant to Decision No. 1340 of the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, dated 9 November 2023, the Non-Governmental Organization "Ukrainian Association of Educational and Developmental Psychology" holds the status of an online media entity in Ukraine, and the electronic journal SHD has been assigned the identification number R40-01745.
The journal is registered with the International Centre for the Registration of Serial Publications "CIEPS" (Paris, France). e-ISSN (Online): 2706-8706.

Open Access Policy and Publication Fees
With the aim of promoting the scholarly achievements of Ukrainian researchers, all issues of the journal are hosted on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) open access platform.
All articles submitted to the journal SHD undergo a double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts submitted by early-career researchers are required to include a review from their academic supervisor. Co-authorship with the supervisor is also welcomed for such contributions.
Information about payment for processing and publishing articles
Submissions are accepted free of charge. The costs associated with the technical and expert support of the journal's operations are covered by the Non-Governmental Organization "Ukrainian Association of Educational and Developmental Psychology" (UAPED.com), whose founding documents provide for a policy aimed at increasing the visibility of Ukrainian researchers' work both within Ukraine and internationally.
As of 2025, each full issue of the journal undergoes review by the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ukrainian Association of Educational and Developmental Psychology and is published upon its recommendation (see page 2 of the current issue).
The journal SHD is indexed in the following scientometric databases: NAUKA, Copernicus, Google Scholar.
